  • Food processor
  • Oven

Ingredients (1 jar) for homemade almond paste

  • 450 grams unsalted almonds
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Pinch of salt

 

Optional Additions

  • Cinnamon
  • Maple syrup
  • Vanilla extract

 

Preparation method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and spread the almonds evenly.
  3. Roast the almonds in the preheated oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Be careful not to burn them.
  4. Place the roasted almonds in the food processor together with a pinch of salt.
  5. Grind the almonds in the food processor until a smooth mass is formed. This can take up to 15 minutes, depending on the power of your food processor and the desired consistency.
  6. If necessary, add a tablespoon of coconut oil to make the almond paste even smoother.
  7. Store the homemade almond paste in an airtight jar at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
