Craving a sweet snack without the guilt? These healthy brownie balls are the perfect treat! They are moist, chocolatey and packed with nutritious ingredients. Unlike traditional brownies, they do not contain added sugars, processed ingredients or unhealthy fats.

These energy balls are ideal as a pre- or post-workout snack, snack or healthy alternative to sweets. Plus, they are easy to make and perfect to take with you!

Ingredients for 10 to 12 balls

• 200 grams medjool dates
• 1 scoop cacao whey
• 2 tablespoons cacao powder
• 100 grams hazelnuts
• 1 tablespoon raw honey
• 100 grams 80% dark chocolate
• Pinch of salt

Preparation method

Roast the hazelnuts briefly in a pan and pit the dates. Add the dates, roasted hazelnuts, raw honey, cocoa powder and cocoa whey to a food processor and mix until smooth. This may take a few minutes.

Roll the balls and put them in the fridge. In the meantime, melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie. Remove the balls from the fridge and roll them through the chocolate. Top with coarse sea salt or maldon salt. Put the balls back in the fridge until the chocolate is hard.
